Special Status Species Surveys, 2013 – Emily Orling conducted rare plant surveys for a consulting firm along a Bonneville Power Administration transmission corridor extending north-south across central Oregon from The Dalles to near Lakeview.  She researched and learned to identify 90+ target species which were possibly present in study area, including a federally listed endangered lichen.  She also identified all vascular plants encountered in survey areas.  Emily acted as botanist and crew leader, managing crew logistics and equipment and conducting regular safety sessions.
